moru is an open-source community translating Minecraft modpacks together. Find, download, and polish translation packs — all in one place.
A modpack is made of tens of thousands of quest, item, and tooltip strings, and most ship in English only. Nobody should have to give up on a great modpack because of a language barrier — moru lets anyone translate a modpack in five minutes and share the result with the whole community.
Once one person translates a pack, it belongs to everyone who plays it. The goal is to never translate the same sentence twice.
At the heart of moru is a system that gets better the more it is used. Every full loop of translate → share → correct → merge raises translation quality for the whole community.
The moru desktop app translates your modpack automatically with AI.
Upload the finished pack in one click so everyone can use it.
Spot a mistranslation in game, suggest a fix right on the web, and the uploader reviews and approves it.
Approved corrections accumulate in the glossary and translation memory, raising the quality of every translation that follows.
Approved corrections flow automatically into the community glossary and translation memory (TM). Once the community settles on a term for Netherite or Elytra, it is used consistently across every pack.
The moru desktop app and web are published under the MIT license. Reading the code, opening issues, and sending PRs are all welcome.
